We are looking for a Construction Project Representative with public infrastructure and/or private development experience, to be a part of our growing Construction Services Practice. This position will be based out of our St Paul or Minnetonka, MN offices depending on the candidate's location.

Responsibilities for this position include observing construction on a variety of Transportation, Civil and/or Municipal infrastructure projects to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications, documenting the day-to-day field activities, material sampling and testing, and measuring of quantities. In this position you will also prepare for and assist with preconstruction meetings, progress, and conflict resolution meetings, negotiate and prepare construction change orders, and effectively interact and communicate with clients, contractors, and other SEH personnel. This position is seasonal in nature. While in the office, work may include design or CAD activities, assisting with development of proposals, estimating project budgets and schedules, and completing constructability reviews of project plans depending on workload and ability of the candidate.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the construction field serving as a Construction Project Representative or related role.
• Excellent record keeping and communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and be able to walk and climb over rough terrain associated with construction sites.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record and be able to provide own means of reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site observations, etc. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Construction Project Representative on DOT, County and/or Municipal construction projects involving earthwork, concrete and bituminous paving, site improvements, and street/utility construction.
• Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or related field.
• Possession of applicable DOT Technical Certifications.
• Previous experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation.
