We are looking for an individual who wants to be part of a team that provides exceptional service to our clients, and we have an opening for a Sr. Technician within our Structural Practice Center located in St. Paul, MN.

Responsibilities may include:

• Work effectively in an empowered team environment with engineers and project managers to develop designs and concept drawings into accurate and complete construction documents.
• Produce and coordinate construction drawings with multiple disciplines utilizing MicroStation software.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously and lead plan development while coordinating and mentoring other technical staff.
• Work from engineering sketches and calculations in developing preliminary and final plans, quantities and cost estimates for bridges in Minnesota and neighboring states
• Assist with construction administration tasks, including shop drawing review and occasional construction site visits.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Architectural Technology, Architectural Drafting & Design, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in Cadd drafting and modeling of bridges using MicroStation software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word and Excel.
• Have an in-depth understanding of structural bridge standards and detailing using steel, reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete.
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities to meet project schedules.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds while walking through rough terrain.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and be able to provide own means of reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in estimating project scopes and hours for plan development portion of design fee estimates, make measurements and assessments of existing site conditions for bridge rehabilitations, and ability to develop construction quantities and cost estimates.
