Mover/Helper

Under the supervision of a driver, movers/helpers assist with moving, inventory, and transport of boxed household goods. He/she represents the company in a professional manner to ensure a positive customer experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for Mover/Helper:

• Assists/helps with the pick-up (loading), transportation, and delivery (unloading and placement) of boxed household goods and limited unboxed items.
• Follows instruction from crew leader and adheres to all company policies and safety rules.
• Behaves in a professional manner.
• Performs all duties in adherence with company safety standards.
• Performs work within the specifications of the estimate of hours. * Must wear closed toe shoes, pants and shirt with short sleeves
• Display professional conduct, courtesy, and manners when performing work in the customer's home or office.
• Respectful of customer's property.

Physical Requirements:

• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Moving/Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. Requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
• Standing/Walking: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
• Other demands include stooping, sitting, pulling, lifting, carrying, pushing, listening.
