Specialist, Training Developer

Overview
Design, deploy and maintain all forms of training materials and curriculum, including instructor-led, self-directed (e-Learning, web and video), and formal/informal collaborative learning environments. Areas of focus include product specific training materials (overviews, troubleshooting, and instructional/how to, etc.), internal policy and procedure, and customer service. Also design online competency assessments for training programs as required.
Responsibilities
- Course Design and Development
- Work with subject matter experts and Trainers to develop eLearning and traditional training programs
- Use of criterion-referenced instruction methodology in design methods to ensure transfer of learning within this medium
- Develop programs that produce measurable output for reporting and analytic studies
- Develop in SCORM and AICC compliance for placement within an LMS
- Course Delivery
- Facilitate or co-facilitate courses, pilot new curriculum utilizing sound methodology at an advanced facilitation skills
- Train and assist in coordination of new training initiatives. Analyze and update training modules to maintain accuracy of information and streamlined delivery.
- Data Integrity
- Responsible for keeping previously created training materials current
- Personal Development
- Seek out opportunities (on-the-job and external) to keep training design, development, and delivery skills current and effective
- Mastery of adult learning theories and effective facilitation skills
- Use peer, manager, and customer feedback (in addition to formal course evaluations) as a way to ensure effectiveness
Product Group Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing the delivery format for new product training
- Responsible for the production of new product training
- Responsible for the delivery of new product training
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned
- Travel up to 10% may be required
Qualifications
- An Associate's Degree is desired or post high school technical or specialized education which may be obtained in the first two or three years of college technical school or business school
- Two to four years related experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be detail oriented
