Position Summary:
The Technical Instructor/Course Developer will conduct the research necessary to develop and revise training courses and prepare appropriate training curriculums, train personnel by conducting formal classroom courses, workshops, seminars, and/or computer based/computer aided training and as required provide mobile training team events that include On-The-Job training onsite and offsite. Will develop and update training documentation, user guides, and training plans.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop/update training materials and curriculum to support C4ISR equipment/systems, specifically for CANES, CANES Subs and ADNS programs.
  • Coordinate and provide input to project schedules for training events.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support during training sessions and evaluate and response to Casualty Report (CASREPs).
  • Provide advanced knowledge in identifying training needs and recommend advanced training solutions by working with military and government stakeholders.
  • Provide advanced knowledge and guidance on the structure and improvements of the onsite and/or in-house training classes and seminars.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant and highly advanced training trends and technology.
  • Identify training gaps affected by technical change packages.
  • Mentor and coach less-experienced trainers.
Requirements and Experience:
  • HS/GED & trng cert
  • Eight (8) years of experience in a technical trade or craft such as electricity, electronics, surveying, aircraft or ship fundamentals, to include: developing appropriate course material, hands on practical experience with techniques being taught, researching latest technical discipline practices, establishing training needs, developing goals and objectives, and developing training programs.

Pay Range: $35 - $65 per hour
